Eight Sleep for less: the bed temperature control price ladder
Editor’s note: We sleep on an Eight Sleep at home and wouldn’t give it up. Autopilot is the standout: it reads our sleep through the cover’s sensors and adjusts the temperature in real time through the night to keep us asleep. On one recent night, our editor’s Autopilot recap showed 24 temperature adjustments while she slept. The built-in alarm wakes us with gentle vibrations. It’s the best cooling bed we’ve tried, and also the priciest, so here’s what the cheaper options get you. But if we had to choose between better sleep now and saving up, we’d buy the best cooling we could afford today. Some links below are affiliate links; see our disclosure.
Can’t swing it all at once?
Eight Sleep lists these options on its own site (checked Oct 20, 2026):
- Rent monthly from $149/mo, including the Autopilot plan (as shown on Eight Sleep’s Pod 6 page on Oct 20, 2026; rental terms are on their site).
- Monthly payments with Affirm, with plans from 6 to 36 months; some plans are advertised at 0% APR. Terms depend on Affirm’s credit approval.
- HSA/FSA through Truemed, after a short eligibility survey; eligibility depends on your plan.
- 30-night trial, with returns accepted within 30 calendar days of delivery and free return shipping.
